Meet the Artist
I began my creative career as a graphic designer, contributing fifteen years of expertise to Sotheby’s, BBDO Advertising and several boutique design firms in NYC. In addition, more than a decade was spent in corporate roles in sales and marketing for IT technology companies. Reconnecting with fine art was inspired by community involvement at Arts Westchester, where close engagement with artists, exhibitions and visitors reignited my profound passion for painting with acrylics on canvas.
My artwork is rooted in abstract expressionism, shaped by my background in design, I define composition, color, negative space and mixed media at the center of my practice. While my process usually originates from reference material, intuition plays an essential role in guiding my color palette, mark-making, textures, and aesthetic in the final outcome. I find deep creative fulfillment exploring the intersection of realism and pure abstraction, a space where experimentation and fresh perspectives continue to open new possibilities in my work.
